As secure as a VPN if as follows: You open up one port inward (3389 if I remember , well that was for NT 4 TS) I prefer to use client authentication (via browser) On the terminal server put the high encryption on (128 bit) and then build your client disks from there. This will give you a 128bit client see: Securing Terminal Server Communication Between Client and Server [Q232514] TS Client Cannot Connect to a Server Running 128-Bit Encryption [Q257894] regards Dean -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Wednesday, 30 May 2001 7:08 AM To: [email protected] Subject: [FW1] Windows 2000 Terminal Services Does anyone know how secure is it to allow Windows 2000 Technical Services pass through the firewall and administer a host on the DMZ ?
