Title: RE: [FW1] VRRPv.2 and Monitored Circuit Monitored circuits is somewhat nicer in that it does not depend on gratuitous ARPs to fail over - the failover machine simply starts answering for the VRRP MAC address in the event of a failure. In VRRP v2, the secondary must arp itself out as the owner of the IP address if the primary fails, and some equipment does not respond properly to this. Can't think of any advantages of VRRP v2 off hand - List? Dan Hitchcock
