Sledge hammer emergency check: can you use the GUI on another machine and connect to this box? That is, instead of using fwpolicy on the firewall (management server, actually), can you fire up the gui on a Windows machine and manage it that way? (Note: you'll have to run cpconfig to enter the IP address of the machine you want to connect from. Alternatively you can edit the gui-clients file in $FWDIR/conf) This doesn't fix the problem, but it may get you on your feet so you can take some of the pressure off. I installed the FW-1 and the GUI client of Ver4.1 in the same solaris box which is ver 2.6, after uninstall ver 3.0b using fwunintall command. But I can't use fwpolicy. Though I run the command fwpolicy, it is not displayed, and nothing issued about like error message. It is still for long silence. And there is not problem in the fwpolicy for ver3.0b in same box. If anyone know and go through like the above same problem, advice to me, please. thank you in advance.
