Re: [FW1] Strange message after installing FW-1 SP3




It's a problem with NT installs as well. What I was told from checkpoint is
that you cannot apply SP1 or SP2 or SP3 on top of SP0. You have to
uninstall the FW and reinstall from a CP2000 CD (which is SP1) or a later
CP2000 CD which has SP2 integrated into it (this is what I did). Then you
can apply any remaining service packs.

This fixed my problem but was a pain in the rump.

I'm still plagued by the polsrvd errors that I've seen folks complaining of
lately.

Were it not for the security holes in 4.0 and 4.1 SP0 I think I should have
stayed there.

It is a mystery... I have the same error :)

I'm fairly certain we (Solaris installs) all do.
