Hi all, Actually dhcpd is a dhcp server. You can't set it under GUI for awhile, but it is quite simple: To make it work, you should have a dhcp.conf properly set in you /etc, as well /var/log/dhcp.leases (to log it). Go to /var/state and do "ln -s /var/log/dhcp dhcp", Launch dhcpd under /usr/sbin and be sure it works (with a client testing) To start it automatically, go to /etc/rc.d/rc3.d and move K35dhcpd to S35dhcpd. I'm using that here and I really liked that, specially because it is simple and I could make that in minutes, as well the other configurations, Best wishes Aylton ----- Original Message ----- From: "LEFEVRE David" <[email protected]> To: "Aaron Brasslett" <[email protected]> Cc: "'[email protected]'" <[email protected]> Sent: Wednesday, May 02, 2001 4:33 AM Subject: Re: [FW1] Intrusion.com PDS2110 > > It effectively has a "dhcpd" daemon, but, I think it's the client.
