Check your resolving, slow response from services in Unix environment is usually seen when the machine is unable to perform back resolving for itself, one of it's network interfaces, or the connecting host. Hardware is compaq ML330 with 4 NICs. 3 are 3com 3c905c's and the 4th is built in, it's using eepro100 driver module. My question is when the machine boots, it gets as far as 'loading firewall1' and pauses for 4 minutes or so every time. I also get the same problem from fwstart. Maybe it is not a problem, but i have installed many Checkpoint firewalls with 3 NICs and never had this problem before. When the firewall services do start the firewall works perfectly... thanks Tom Heyworth Technical Manager ACT Now ############################################################################ ######### This e-mail message has been scanned for Viruses and Content and cleared by MailMarshal For more information please visit www.marshalsoftware.com ############################################################################ ######### ============================================================================ ==== To unsubscribe from this mailing list, please see the instructions at http://www.checkpoint.com/services/mailing.html ============================================================================ ==== ================================================================================ To unsubscribe from this mailing list, please see the instructions at http://www.checkpoint.com/services/mailing.html ================================================================================
