Hi, I just want to share my experience. Make sure that you save the file as "local.arp" and not "local.arp.txt". (it happens if you use Notepad to create that file). Thanks. If you have ip spoofing enabled you have to put the outside address in a group with the dmz addresses and you have to allow a ping to the web server. And make sure that you have a route on the firewall with the outside address to the web server and stop and start services -----Original Message----- From: razor NT [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Tuesday, March 06, 2001 4:40 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [FW1] DMZ: can't connect to web server from outside Using WIN NT 4.0 and FW 4.1 Create a local.arp file and the IP and MAC addresses were not listed when I exe. arp -a. Can't access the web server through the Internet. The web server sits on the DMZ network. NAT has been completed and the correct rules for the policy and the address translation have been implemented. I setup a static arp entry and also a route entry, still no access. When do a tracroute I am only able to connect/see the router IP not the external IP for the FW. Should I setup a route entry on the router? Cisco Router. What is the suggested config for a HTTP server on the DMZ? Thanks for your help in advance. _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com ============================================================================ ==== To unsubscribe from this mailing list, please see the instructions at http://www.checkpoint.com/services/mailing.html ============================================================================ ==== ============================================================================ ==== To unsubscribe from this mailing list, please see the instructions at http://www.checkpoint.com/services/mailing.html ============================================================================ ==== ================================================================================ To unsubscribe from this mailing list, please see the instructions at http://www.checkpoint.com/services/mailing.html ================================================================================
