RE: [FW1] Can't use Fwpolicy GUI on Firewall Management Console

Check what the DISPLAY enviroment variable is set to by typing: echo
$DISPLAY
It should look like below:

$ echo $DISPLAY
:0.0
$

If it looks like:

$ echo $DISPLAY

$

Try typing (this is for the ksh shell) and then run fwpolicy:
DISPLAY=:0.0 ; export DISPLAY

if the above gives you an error it might mean you are using the csh shell in
that case try:
setenv DISPLAY :0.0

I log into a SUN monitor connected directly to the management server.
Logging
in through the CDE.

When you say you are on the console are you on a serial console (ie a
dumb
termal or similar) or logging into X windows? If you are logged into X
windows session the first thing to check is that your DISPLAY enviroment
is
set. You can do this by typing: echo $DISPLAY It should not be
blank.
