RE: [FW1] VPN from Bracn Office

Another big advantage to the Cisco solution is that a modem can be connected
for complete out of band management thanks to the built in CLI.

Why don't you use a Cisco router and create a VPN between them?
You can also implement a Firewall feature set on the Cisco, so you get a
reasonable protection for the branch office.
PIX is another option.
Besides being an appliance solution, you also save money on additional
equipment.
Cheers,
Michael.

We are about to set up a VPN connection from a branch office. We are
running
a FW-1/VPN v4.1 SP3 at HQ, and are thinking about using a WatchGuard
Firebox
II at the branch office. The branch office holds about 75-100 users.

One requirement is that the VPN box is an appliance, as the IT skill at
the
branch is non-existent.

Does anyone have any experience with running Watchguard products with
FW-1/VPN? Or are the better solutions to achieve this? The Nokia
products
all seem to be for SOHO type offices, or really large offices.
