Check this link for the currently assigned tcp ports. If your port numbers are not in the list you will have to determine what applications are using them manually. http://www.faqs.org/rfcs/std/std2.html Thank you, Jeff Pults Intrusion.com Email: [email protected] Office:Cell Phone:Fax:-----Original Message----- From: Verónica Fernández [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Friday, February 23, 2001 2:08 PM To: Jason Witty Cc: [email protected] Subject: Re: [FW1] Service numbers on the firewall log Thanks Jason, I knew that but to complete the services file, do you know where can I find the correspondence between the number and the name of it. Or the only way is tracking the traffic and deduce the name of the service ?? Thanks. Regards. If it can't equate a name with a service in either of those places, it simply shows you the number. Hope this helps.
