I have never had a problem with connecting pcanywhere through fw-1, but have had trouble with other firewall/proxy software. I've found that disabling the UDP on pcanywhere can help. This is for versions 8.* I havent tried it for 9. 4. To disable the pcANYWHERE32 UDP packets, go to the following registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Symantec\pcANYWHERE\CurrentVersion\System and add the DWORD value below: TCPIPConnectIfUnknown Set the value of this new entry to 1. That's on the client side. --john swensson Quoting Jeff Reinhardt <[email protected]>: > > I hope someone can help me here. > > Current setup: > > FW1 - with ports TCP 5631 and UDP 5632 open for PCAnywhere acces, > and a rule stating Any source Destination being the workstation PCAny > is > installed > on, Accept. > > We have verified that the PCAny install on this machine works with > other > installs > inside the firewall, and that our test machine outside the FW works > with > others > outside the FW. > > However, I cannot connect the the one behind the FW with the test > machine > outside > the FW.
