Sun Solaris has its plus points, and we use it for our backend.
We like the Nokia 440 as its easily deployed and its striped down version of 
bsd is ready to go out of the box(no tweaking required)

Also, one notable thing abt the IP440 is that we can easily restore the 
backup in the event of a crash on another 440 box in less then 1hr, this was 
a great pull factor for us.

Can anyone point me to or provide a comparison of the Solaris Checkpoint vs
IP440 product.  I am especially interested in any drawbacks that one may
