The crossover cable is used for the Check Point state sync.  VRRP does NOT
run on that interface.  It runs on ALL of the others.

And since you've asked several times (and for some reason continue to keep
asking, despite getting answers), yes, you can use switches with VRRP.  Just
configure the switches to not cache mac addresses.
