Warning - If you exceed the restriction on the number of protected hosts,
VPN-1/FireWall-1
will display warning messages on the system console notifying you that you
have violated
the terms of the VPN-1/FireWall-1 license. You should immediately upgrade to
the
appropriate product in order to be in compliance with the terms of the
VPN-1/FireWall-1
license. In the meantime, your security is not compromised and
VPN-1/FireWall-1 will
continue to protect your network.

Basically you get "nagware messages" and it does slow down logging and fill
up your logs.
I have never noticed "invisibility"

Checkpoint works according to the number of ALL IP devices on the network.
If you have a higher number of IP licenses that FW-1 can support, some of
your devices, hosts, users will be invisible to the network.
