Title: RE: [FW1] SecuRemote and Network Neighborhood Without a WINS entry, you will not get a browser list of machines on the
network. It's actually a minor point, but I have some people who are
complaining that they can't browse the machines on the network. Also, if
you do not set your Primary domain suffix in the "More..." area of your Network
Identification, then you must use the fully qualified name of your machines on
your network that do not appear in your lmhosts file in order to access
them. For example, if you want to access a share on an NT box inside your
firewall from your SR client you must click on Start then Run and type \\machine.domain.net\share rather
than \\machine\share. That's yet
another thing WINS would take care of and I would not have to explain to my end
users.
Don't
get me wrong, I sincerely dislike WINS, but I don't have any Active Directory
servers on my internal network.

you possibly add WINS resolution in the properties of your DNS zone in the
network you're connecting to? This way, the client would only have a DNS entry,
no WINS. Just a thought, never tried it myself...........
