'Supposedly' Win2k doesn't require WINS entries for browsing etc...as it will use DNS for resolution. I didn't place WINS on my win2K SR machines, and everything seems to be pretty much correct. I've noticed numerous different port requirements for win2k SR users compared to NT or 98... This made a big difference. W2K should be able to do this also since it would need to be backwards compatible. right? ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]>; <[email protected]> Sent: Thursday, December 07, 2000 1:09 PM Subject: RE: [FW1] SecuRemote and DNS > > I just went through this and you have to have your internal dns server > listed on the client's TCP/IP configuration. > > > -----Original Message----- > > From: David Crousset [mailto:[email protected]] > > Sent: Thursday, December 07, 2000 2:34 PM > > To: [email protected] > > Subject: [FW1] SecuRemote and DNS > > > > > > > > Hi all, > > > > I had a DNS problem with a SecuRemote client (wasn't working).
