RE: [FW1] License question

Normally the temp license is for 30 days anyway. That looks to be the
cleanest approach. This will also cover you if there are any hidden
licensing issues that you may run in to. ( I know, I know, "That never
happens!")

Subject: [FW1] License question

I've got someone who is in the process of migrating to a new internet
service provider. To do this, they will need to be running 2 firewalls for
a short period of time while services are cut over. Obviously the firewall
on the new ISP will be a different IP address. I know they must relicense
the firewall with the new IP address, but what do they do about the old
firewall that will need to remain active on the other ISP during the
migration? Can they still use that old license string? Otherwise, they would
need to request a temp key from Checkpoint. But is that necessary just for
that short period of time? (short period being 2-3 weeks)

Thanks
Will
