ISC2 has a new cert, the SSCP, which is aimed more at technical folks
like us. Not sure yet how good it is, as it is fairly recent. Also,
Cisco offers the CCNP - Security specialization and is soon to offer
the CCIE-Security specialization.
As for the CCSE, I have mine, and I thought the tests were horrible.
Very bad wording and ambiguous questions. What I would like to see
is more vendors offering security specializations for their existing
certs. Wouldn't an MCSE+S be nice? I'd line up to take tests for a
security specialization in something like Solaris or AIX, and I think
the market would respond well...
