Yes, but even if for some reason "control IP forwarding" is not enabled with
CP or the system fails to implement it correctly, the machine will still not
route.

In NT, you cannot disable IP forwarding or the firewall won't work, but in
Solaris you should.

Hi everyone,
I have a doubt; the manual says "disable IP Forwarding in the kernel"
for
solaris2 before install the Checkpoint FW-1. What happens if I don´t do
that?. It suppose that the "IP Forwarding" opcion on the FW-1
configuration
is enought to control it and disable it if the FW-1 is not running,
isn´t
it?
