Yes, but even if for some reason "control IP forwarding" is not enabled with CP or the system fails to implement it correctly, the machine will still not route. In NT, you cannot disable IP forwarding or the firewall won't work, but in Solaris you should. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Alonzo Vera" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Wednesday, November 29, 2000 2:42 PM Subject: [FW1] Solaris and IP-Forwarding Hi everyone, I have a doubt; the manual says "disable IP Forwarding in the kernel" for solaris2 before install the Checkpoint FW-1. What happens if I don´t do that?. It suppose that the "IP Forwarding" opcion on the FW-1 configuration is enought to control it and disable it if the FW-1 is not running, isn´t it? ======================================================================== ======== To unsubscribe from this mailing list, please see the instructions at http://www.checkpoint.com/services/mailing.html ======================================================================== ======== ================================================================================ To unsubscribe from this mailing list, please see the instructions at http://www.checkpoint.com/services/mailing.html ================================================================================
