Hi, It may be true that eSafe isn't the quickest re: "IloveYou". They did send an email saying to disable .vb files until they had a fix available for "ILoveYou" -- if I recall correctly (I was in Australia at the time, watching CNN's story on it in Syndey's IA). If you're on CIAC, SANS, CERT, etc. mailing lists and you hear about a new virus, you can usually find a new pattern for it at www.esafe.com within a few days -- or less. They usually release that type of thing as, what they call, a Hot Update. It is understood that a Hot Update is the latest and greatest AV pattern, but may not be fully tested and to be used at your own risk. I have yet to have a problem using a Hot Update <knock on wood>. As a work around solution waiting for an AV update for a certain virus, I usually use eSafe's Text Inspection feature. For example, I used it for that resume virus until there was a pattern available -- searching for "resume" in the subject line. Fortunately, we never got it before a pattern was available.
