In Red Hat 7.0, the libc was upgraded to glibc-2.2 (libc-6.2), which is
not binary compatible with glibc-2.1 (libc-6.1).

Try installing the following from your RH7 CD:
compat-glibc-6.2-2.1.3.2.i386.rpm
compat-libstdc++-6.2-2.9.0.9.i386.rpm

You may need to do also:
ln -sf /usr/lib/libstdc++-2-libc6.1-1-2.9.0.so  libstdc++-libc6.1-1.so.2

(or something like that)
