RE: [FW1] FW-1 and Interscan Viruswall

Don't know if anything has changed in 4.1 (sp1/sp2) but there was a problem
where outbound email sent through the Security Server would only try the
first MX record.

It was recommended that if we wanted to scan outbound email, we should setup
a Sendmail relay outside the FW so that FW-1 would forward the [scanned]
email on to this relay, then this relay would be much better able to deliver
the message if the first mail server (mx record pointer) was not up &
running.

I have had the same problems,

Seems to be a problem in de Secure SMTP portion of the FireWall

I have now set it up that only incoming email gets scanned.

Outgoing SMTP traffic doesn't get scanned anymore.

Problem with MX records I believe
