[FW1] System error during authentication

I am getting the following errors (only once in a while) when attempting to authenticate to the VPN using SecuRemote:

"Failed to authenticate, System error"

I am using an LDAP server for authentication.  I have recently upgraded my firewall from 4.0 to 4.1, and never saw this message with 4.0.  Any ideas what is causing this?  I do not have any strange entries (other than the "cannot read IO from NBT device) in my NT event logs.
