RE: [FW1] Interscan Viruswall Telewindow & CVP

Hello Tim,

the telewindow only works when Viruswall is installed as a proxy for
the clients. When you use the CVP protocol the telewindow don't work.

Subject: [FW1] Interscan Viruswall Telewindow & CVP

Hello,

I have a problem at a customer site of us. Our client has Interscan
Viruswall
for NT in combination with Firewall-1. The Interscan Viruswall is located in
a
private DMZ. They are using the CVP protocol to direct all HTTP and FTP to
the
Viruswall. They want to use the telewindow when downloading files. Currently
the
telewindow isn't showing up when downloading files. There are no proxies
between
the firewall and the internal clients and Firewall-1 isn't used as a proxy
either. I have done tests with IE and Netscape Navigator.

When Internet Explorer is opened to browse the web, an HTML-page appears
saying
"Loading Interscan Telewindow, please wait...". The file "telewind.zip" is
downloaded (this is shown in the status bar) from the Viruswall to the
client,
but nothing else happens.
With Netscape Navigator, the same page is displayed, the same file is
downloaded, but I get a java-error: "monitor.java.masterapplet: bad magic
number" (also shown in the status bar).

Trend Micro said I had to create a rule which allows UDP traffic on port
3038
between the clients and the Viruswall. This doesn't work and I also don't
see
any traffic in the logs getting blocked by the firewall. I don't have any
resource blocking java code.

Did anyone have the same problem? Is there something misconfigured on the
firewall?

Thanks in advance,
