Doug, I agree with you. I am managing the index list for those who are looking for an answer and want to save time: http://www.rtek2000.com/Tech/InternetSecureLinks.html The index list contains the links that are related to multiple issues we meet every day (Intrusion Detection, protocols, reporting, viruses, performance, filters, certifications, hacking, tools, , HA/Load Balancing, FW lists, FAQs, RFCs, etc, etc). I do not pretend that this list is complete, but I am trying to update it every one-two weeks to reflect new additions. Also, there is another URL that includes UNIX/Linux -related links http://www.rtek2000.com/ouruseful.html Instead of shooting an email to the list bookmark the index page and try to find an answer whenever you need. ========================================================= Best, Roman M. I like reading mail from this list. There are alot of technically savy people to learn from. But simple questions like this one and others, is what prevents me (and Im sure other readers)from reading a good majority of the mail that comes through the list. (I have like ~5000 emails from the list, which are not read, because I just dont have time to wad through it all. Would others agree/disagree? I just dont like the fact that, whenever someone has a question, they immediatley shoot an email to the list (Even email that does not pertain to FW-1) Learning is good, when one *tries* to find the answer. Learning is not good, when you dont put anything into it, and just turn to someone else to give the answer. Im not pointing out anyone in particular, just trying to put some shape to what comes through the list. </rant> -----Original Message----- From: Hines, Stephen (ISSAtlanta) [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Tuesday, October 31, 2000 3:04 PM To: 'Julio Lopez' Cc: [email protected] Subject: RE: [FW1] FW performance There was an earlier post from [email protected] about 3-4 hrs ago detailing info about MAD. Here is a quick slide about it from Checkpoint also (not detailed however): http://www3.checkpoint.com/press/cp2000/sld010.html Regards, Stephen -----Original Message----- From: Julio Lopez [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Tuesday, October 31, 2000 2:04 PM To: CryptoTech; [email protected] Cc: [email protected] Subject: RE: [FW1] FW performance Thanks all of you for your help, and again I ask for your help does anyone know where I can find a doc of MAD (Malicius Activity Detection), and Thanks again!!!
