Thanks My VAR's standard offering is the Nokia box - we originally selected NT due to cost but now have backup/admin/failover headaches. My VAR has convinced me that they will continue sell and support these products and don't see anything changing in the future. Currently, Nokia still sounds best bet to me. Although other companies such as Nortel getting in the act will hopefully bring some price competition ; -) Tim Higgins [email protected] Sent by: To: [email protected] [email protected] cc: Thomas Poole <[email protected]>, kpoint.com [email protected], [email protected] Subject: RE: [FW1] Nokia: Possible serious bug in IPSO Voyager interface. 30/10/00 13:53 I have done just that. I have replaced all my NT boxes with Nokia's. THANK GOD. I ran into so many problems running Check Point on NT. Try troubleshooting by phone especially if your remote administration program fails and the box is in the other side of the world. Even more try to teach someone who has no knowledge of computers to do a hardened NT install with Check Point by phone. I love the Nokia platform. I would never go back to NT. The backup and restore features are incredible. Also it helps to have a good VAR.
