Install Cisco Secure ACS Server. Use TACACS's authentication, and synchronize the tacacs database with your domain SAM. (it does this automatically) You can make it as simple as an admin that just adds a user into a domain group, and just assign that group access priveledges thru the tacacs server. Then create the rules in the rulebase to use tacacs authentication. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]]On Behalf Of Dick Conrad Sent: Saturday, October 28, 2000 8:00 AM To: [email protected] Subject: [FW1] User list administration Hello: We have just installed the latest release of FW1 on an NT box. We will implement client authentication for http access, and expect to have a user database of several hundred names. The database will require frequent updating. We would like to have a non-technical person manage the user list. We would prefer that this person only be able to add/modify/remove users, with no access to other GUI functionality. This is to protect against unintended errors. Is there a way to assign limited administrative rights to a user? Or, can we use the command-line interface and batch this functionality? Thank you.
