The sticker refers to the media that the box contains.  Ie the software in
the box supports DES.

However, the licence dictates which elements of the software are activated
and which aren't.

If you haven't got a VPN tab, then that would suggest your certificate is
does not support VPN.

Okay, Checkpoint seems very slow to respond to any emails sent their way.
(perhaps dodging rocks being thrown in the alley? heh)

Anyway, does anyone know if this product feature code includes support for
VPN, IPSEC, DES etc?

I have a client that purchased this version and the installation folder has
a sticker
which claims DES edition, but on their firewall object no encryption schemes
show
on the VPN tab. The licenses are installed and valid. I am thinking their
license does
not allow VPN's...but I can't find any doc on Checkpoint's website to verify
this.
If it does not support VPN, why slap a "DES Edition" sticker on it???
