Re: [FW1] StoneBeat Fullcluster Help plz

It sounds like your machines can't 'see' each other with the SB 'protocol'
heatbeat.
Another way of checking is to login to each of you nodes then do a 'sbfc'.
If you only get data for that node, what I said above it true and you need
to get you 'control/protocol' network checked.
Along with all the other data you must have the following line in
/opt/fullcluster/etc/node.conf and tey must be the same on both node (even
the MAC address must be the same)

...
protocol = sbif0 01:02:03:04:05:06
control-ip = ?.?.?.?
control-port=3002
...

If you run the control network separate from the 'heatbeat' (as we do) then
you need an additional line

...
control = sbif1
...

You should also be running FW-1 in 'sync' mode.

Hi,

I am setting up a stonebeat fullcluster site with two sparc machine
running FW-1.

My problem is: I can only connect to either one of the firewall at a time.

In the Stonebeat GUI in the separate management server, I expect I
will see both firewall online. But I only see one of them is online, the
other is 'disconnected' and grey in color.

I right click my mouse on the grey icon, only have two option to choose:
'change to status reporter' or 'remove'.
I go through the manual and still don't know what the 'change to status
reporter' is.... I click on it, the disconnected firewall went online and
the other went offline at once! What's up?

Thus, I cannot make both fw online...

All the connection is okay. They can ping each others. No error mesg show
up on /var/adm/messages, console, EventLog in NT.. I have no idea what's
going wrong.

Pls help me if you have any idea about my setup problem. Thanks.

P.S. I only install stonebeat snmp package in one of the FW sparc, not in
the other sparc nor the management stonebeat GUI.
