Just do not expect a quick response > install both IAS updates from link below mcis first then sp6a > http://www.microsoft.com/isn/downloads.asp#3 > > read this for details > http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/Q198/7/96.ASP?LN=EN-US&SD=g n&FR=0 > > then get this hotfix > http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/Q197/5/06.ASP > > chap is not recommended MSChap is prefered. per reasons in KB's above. > I'm still trying to get shiva/Intel dev to implement mschap due to the fact, when a password expires you won't get prompted to change it (you will get an access-reject packet) via a radius dial-up unless the NAS supports mschap --->w2k radius. thanks Kevin "Deric Tallman" <[email protected]> wrote in message news:[email protected]... > Hello folks, > > I have just been directed by my supervisor to set up a RADIUS Server on a > NT4.0 member server. Probably, you forgot to add "Grant dialin permission" to users in User Manager. MS Radius requires it starting SP5. -----Original Message----- From: Andrew Fullagar [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Monday, October 23, 2000 23:34 To: '[email protected]'; [email protected] Subject: RE: [FW1] IAS + w2k Tried to get it to work and as yet have no success. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Monday, October 23, 2000 12:52 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [FW1] IAS + w2k Anyone had any success with Windows 2000+Internet Authentication Services (RADIUS)? I know it works on NT4, and that SP5/6 breaks it. Would w2k have the same malfunction?
