[FW1] VPN Hostname
Hi all.
According to Phoneboy, ISAKMP encrypted packets are encoded with the IP
address that "hostname" resolves to. This name also dictates which
interface the packets leave on.
I am running FW4.0 on Solaris, with 3DES.
I have a number of encrypted rules with a partners firewall, and yet my
hostname resolves to the internal address of the firewall, not the external
address.
Am I missing something here? If Phoneboy is correct, then these links
shouldn't be working.
Can anyone shed any light on how this works?
