RE: [FW1] Management Clients hang up... What's up ???



I switched the logs using the 'fw log switch' command. It worked fine. I
can't even remember seeing my logs so cleared. Unfortunately, it did not
change anything to the problem. I checked also the name resolution, which
works fine. However, I have not been able to uncheck the 'resolve addresses'
option in the log viewer because I can't launch the program to access the
options... When things go wrong...

So, I don't know what to do. The session agent works fine. What the hell is
waiting the log viewer ? I have to say that the system status and the policy
editor do not work either.

Help...

Yannick,
If this is just your log viewer I would suspect that it would be either the
size of your logs or the logviewer is trying to resolve the names. Turn this
of by deselecting 'Select--->Options--->Resolve Names'. How long do you have
to wait? Do you have any problems with other GUI's? Do you switch your logs,
and how big do they get?

Hi all,

I've got a problem with my management clients (ite : Log Viewer,
System Status, Policy editor).
I'm running FW1 4.1 SP2 build 41716 on WinNT. I've installed the
Management Clients 4.1 SP2 and the Session Agent 4.1 on my WNT 4.0
Workstation SP6A. That's ok.

When I launch Log Viewer, I enter the username1, password1, firewall
address. The authentication agent pops up and I enter user2 and
password2, which works fine. But after that, the log viewer is
stalled and seems waiting for something... But what ?

On the firewall logs I can see successful authentications : the
session agent works fine. So the problem is with the log viewer... 

I'm stuck with this problem. Can anyone help ?
