Re: [FW1] Re: automating the switching of logs

So ensure the executable exists (ie:
/opt/pkg/Firewall-1-des.v4.1/bin/fw) once this is done, check the
/var/opt/blah blah/logs/* to see if you got the logs.) once this is done
(you should have 4 logs, or 5 with the ela_proxy) you should "tar cf
$date-logs.tar $date*" and "gzip $date-logs.tar".
Once this is done, you got a nice $date-logs.tar.gz file, and just shoot
this file with ssh to a file server.. like "scp $date-logs.tar.gz
<fileserverIP>:/repository/FW1-logs" and everything should be ok. You can
even add a little "rm -f $date-logs.tar.gz" at the end of your script.

    So long,
        Firebird

me with this via a cronjob until I called his direct number back, got
transferred to "the first available engineer" and was told that checkPoint
doesn't support cronjobs or assist with their creation or debugging. I was
told to see my Command Reference or goto securePoint.com. I didn't get a
command reference, but I am working on that with my VAR.
