[FW1] SMTP problem
Hi gurus!
We have implemented the following rule in the FW.
Policy Src Any Service Action
3 Any Email-srvr SMTP_resource Accept
Last Any Any Any Reject
>From time to time I have observed that the FW stops receiving emails from
places as hotmail and excite. In the log, instead of having hotmail and
excite activity falling in policy 3, it falls in the "clean up" rule.
The following messages appear in the smtpd log file.
fd: 20 src: 64.4.31.62 dst: 170.70.84.1 Connection I/O failure.
fd: 324 src: 64.4.30.22 dst: 170.70.84.1 Connection I/O failure.
fd: 336 src: 216.32.181.221 dst: 170.70.84.1 Connection I/O failure.
fd: 120 src: 128.11.23.224 dst: 170.70.84.1 Connection I/O failure.
fd: 316 src: 128.11.23.201 dst: 170.70.84.1 Connection I/O failure.
fd: 324 src: 209.247.133.104 dst: 170.70.84.1 Connection I/O failure.
fd: 324 src: 216.33.149.55 dst: 170.70.84.1 Connection I/O failure.
fd: 312 src: 195.6.58.62 dst: 170.70.84.1 Connection I/O failure.
fd: 264 src: 216.33.236.138 dst: 170.70.84.1 Connection I/O failure.
resolver_gethostbyaddr() failed.WINSOCK error #11004
Any ideas???
