True, You either need to re-create your gateway object _or_ if you don't want to define it as a gateway, go to "install on" on the policy editor, right click on Gateways, and ADD>Targets. Then select the object you have defined as your firewall.... I'm pretty sure when you do it this way, the fw module will only apply the rules only on the inbound direction, and will ignore the policy properties setup for interface direction.... Normally your firewall will be set up as one of these. Most rules are set up to be installed on gateways.
