I wrote this mailing list earlier about problems with getting Client Authentication via a web page to work.

I could connect to the http://firewall:900  put in my username and password and sucessfully sign on, but the firewall would drop all connections to the destinations via the last catch-all rule.

I discovered via Nokia's support, that if the rules are installed on the cluster-object instead of the Gateways option under the "Install On" field was the reason.

Once I changed the ruleset so that the rules were installed on the "Gateways" option it works.

Can anyone expand on what the difference is between specifiying the firewall object versus the Gateways object in the "Install On" field in the ruleset.
