Hey, this resembles a remark I made...close...

I responded to Ian's post, because by placing the '-p'
at the end was not adding the persistant route to the
registry. I put it at the front and it worked...

Then your post comes along and gets me wondering
again(just what I wanted to waste another 45 minutes
on.) So I tested and it fails to add...hmmmm. I re-apply
service pack 6a for the ump-teenth time and voila -
YOUR RIGHT!

On the NT TCP session timeout values. Have you
tried to change NT's stack to see if life changes vs the
fw value?
