RE: [FW1] Securemote Issue....

Peter,

I think what your seeing has to do with the NIC
vendor's driver they wrote. I have that that issue
now. I have a laptop and three NICs and a DUN
interface.

Two of the three NIC's will not load and therefore
no routes are created if the NIC is missing. The
third NIC driver loads and sets up the routes
even if the NIC is not present!!

This is a big PITA. I don't want to delete the
NIC in network properties, so I'm forced to
manually remove the routes after I boot up.
I haven't taken the time to setup another config
to boot from.

The first two NIC's are a Xircom and Intel
Mobile(which is an OEM from Xircom I'm told)

The offender, is a Dell docking station
with a 3COM NIC. I need to revisit Dell and see
if this is a known issue and hope a fix is available.

If I come across new info, I'll forward it on.

Robert
