Yeah, use a non-static authentication scheme/method. -----Original Message----- From: Dan Hitchcock [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Friday, September 22, 2000 2:27 PM To: '[email protected]'; [email protected] Subject: RE: [FW1] SR - how to 'invalidate' SR clients ? Since SecuRemote is a free download, anyone who really wanted another *crack* at your FW could easily get around any disabling you may do. I would think that server-side security is the answer - I can't envision what the "just in case" might entail if your firewall is properly configured and maintained. In other words, when you remove their FW account, they become equivalent to any other hacker in the world, except that the most astute of them may have written down your FW external IP. Any other thoughts out there? Dan Hitchcock CCNA, MCSE Network Engineer Xylo, Inc. Hi We need to issue some of our mother companies' PCs with Secure Remote for a short period. I know that the FW-1 account can be disabled/removed but is their a way to actually disable the SR client just in case ?
