Re: [FW1] Email Content Filtering/URL Filtering

We use SessionWall-3 (now renamed eTrust Intrusion Detection after buyout
by Computer Associates).
Very good, easy to use.
Downsides:-
1. User id don't always get picked up by ADCP Agent (sits on your PDC/BDCs)
2. CA takeover resulted in some poor support for a while but things are
improving
3. No 'official' training available in Europe
4. Not easy to patch together different logs to expand reporting period
We like the general blocking functions and basic reports and haven't found
a good 'all-in-one' product - so we intend to use:-
1. eTrust for blocking and 'real-time' useage
2. Telemate for logging/monitoring and reporting (haven't got this yet!) -
to get round eTrust user-level issues etc. and SecureView reporting which
is *&%$
3. FW-1 for .....Firewall functions (would you believe it ?)
....final piece of puzzle is bandwidth control - still can;t decide between
Floodgate and PacketShaper - although I have only seen emails in favour of
PacketShaper - nobody seems that impressed with Floodate-1.

Unfortunately, WebSense (which I am using) appears to be breaking out their
categories and charging extra to block "Advertisement" sites and others
now.
