Re: [FW1] Akamai bypasses WebSense, Real.com, DoubleClick and other UNWANTED TRAFFIC

Hi Carl,
I'm one of those "doing.a.project.for.my.degree.thatuniv.blah.edu" students. I'm working on a way to get rid of those annoying doubleclick (and others) banners based on Chris Brenton's idea ( see http://lists.gnac.net/firewalls/mhonarc/firewalls.199912/msg00292.html ). It doesn't involve the firewall directly, but uses dns to redirect to a different server. If you're interested, drop me a line and I'll let you know details.

Anyway, does anyone have good rulebase examples for ad banner blocking?
I tried a URI filter and it was not working that great...probably my bad.
