Re: [FW1] Management Console config disappeared

For what it's worth, I recently saw a similar entry in my log where the firewall policy was suddenly "uninstalled". I know no one uninstalled the policy because I was testing the firewall in my lab prior to deployment.

My management console seems to have lost its configuration
information.

I'm running 4.1 SP1 with Hotfix on NT. All seemed to be working fine
on Friday when I left, but today I cannot get into the Policy Editor.
When I checked the settings using cpconfig, everything has
disappeared - licenses, admins, gui clients, even IP address. The
machine had been restarted over the weekend as part of a DRP
exercise. The only clue are 2 suspect log entries:

FireWall-1: uninstall: Operation failed: The system could not find
the environment option that was entered.
FW1SVC: Failed to uninstall FireWall Module (rc=1)

Looks like someone might have tried to uninstall the software -
considering there are only 3 people who know the password it should
be easy to track. At the moment I'm looking at backing essential
files up and reinstalling the management console.

Any ideas???

Craig.
