RE: [FW1] No license for User interface

Engin and Matias,

I am using the GUI to connect a CMA of a provider-1. Other CMAs of the same
provider-1 work find, except just this one. I added IP of the client and
administrator in the CMA just as others. What else may wrong in addition to
IP and User setup?

Simon

Hi,
Try to install the patches coming in the CP2000 CD.(Under pathes directory)
You have to install the CP4.1 Firewall patch and CP 4.1 GUI patch.

Simon,

1) Check that the gui clients field is properly defined.

2) If you are using the GUI from a Unix platform, you must have the license
feature "motif". In FireWall-1 4.1 and later, you must pay extra money for
this feature.

3) Check that the License is bound to the correct address on the NT box.
(run ipconfig from DOS prompt)

- Remember that the licensed IP address must be the primary address of its
interface. If the licensed IP address is bound to a virtual interface, FW1
will not work.

4) Check that there are no other licensing irregularities. For example, an
expired eval or demo license can cause various errors, including this one.
Reinstall your currently valid licenses. For the first license and the first
license only, include the -o option after fw putlic (use fw putlic -o,
followed by the normal strings). If you have to modify your FireWall-1
licenses, you must restart FireWall-1 (fwstop; fwstart).

5) Make sure that the host specified at the login screen is actually the
management console, not the remote firewall module. Keep in mind that the
Management GUI, the Management Module, and firewall module can all reside on
seperate machines, so make sure you specify the correct machine.
