Re: [FW1] Checking connection between a Management module and Remote module - how?

On Management module, click on remote firewall module and click on "Get Version".  button. If it return the correct version your firewall is atleast talking to remote version of Firewall.  Also just go to interface section and get interface will give you all interface.

This will simply use FW-1 connection (and password based in fw putkey) to communicate.

On Command line you can check:

fw stat remote-fw

Hi all,

I have set up a brand new management module station to replace an aging
v4.0 instllation. I need however to check whether this new management
module will talk to our existing v4.0 remote module.

So far the only way to do this seems to be to try and install a security
policy on the remote module - if things go wrong, it could take out our
firewall. Yuck.

Is there a non destructive "check if all comms are ok" button in the GUI
that will confirm that the remote module and the management module can
talk to each other with the correct authorisation, etc?
