FW1 has big problems with the 2.2.16 Linux kernel. Memory allocation errors can occur when installing a policy and kernel always panics on ifconfig ethx down. To get around this problem you can downgrade to the 2.2.14 kernel which has neither of these problems. Time for some compiling ;) Hope this helps.
